Aircraft Type Courses
Queensland Aerospace College’s Approved Type Training courses are either CASA Approved or EASA 147 Approved and are conducted at Queensland Aerospace College’s Technical Training Centre, 36 Rose Street, Wooloowin, QLD, 4030. These approved type training courses all range in course length, for example the “Boeing 737-600/700/800/900 Mechanical” type course runs for 6 weeks whereas the “PT6A Part 1 and 2 Series Engine” type course runs for only 2 weeks. Queensland Aerospace College’s Approved Type Training courses are held from 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday. All course manuals and your initial supply of stationery equipment are included and the examinations will be held at specific intervals throughout the course. The examination fees are included in the total cost for the course, and no further fees are required.
Please note: That all of Queensland Aerospace College’s Approved Type Training courses have a number of prerequisites which must be met in order to complete the course and gain the appropriate CASA or EASA 147 credits. These prerequisites are clearly defined on each specific course outline (PT6A pre-requisites are listed on the enrolment form) and when completing the specific enrolment form, all applicants must sign the declaration stating they have the appropriate course prerequisites.
